Responsibilities
Own day-to-day market and liquidity risk oversight for equity options volatility strategies across multiple trading styles
Design and refine risk controls and limits that balance loss prevention with minimal disruption to trading activity
Partner closely with trading teams to evaluate risk behavior, P&L drivers, and exposure dynamics in real time
Assess proposed strategy changes and new initiatives, providing risk recommendations to senior stakeholders
Build and enhance risk models and analytics to capture equity options vol tail risks and non-linear exposures
Analyze historical performance and stress scenarios to calibrate thresholds, alerts, and escalation frameworks
Monitor limit usage, investigate breaches, and coordinate resolution efforts across trading and operations teams
Develop and implement new risk monitoring tools and automation in collaboration with operations and engineering
Support ad hoc analysis of bespoke trading opportunities and risk trade-offs as needed
Contribute to cross-functional projects spanning finance, operations, and technology teams
Qualification
Required
Mid-to-senior level risk experience focused on market and liquidity risk oversight for equity options volatility strategies
Experience in designing and refining risk controls and limits
Ability to partner closely with trading teams to evaluate risk behavior, P&L drivers, and exposure dynamics
Experience assessing proposed strategy changes and providing risk recommendations
Skills in building and enhancing risk models and analytics
Ability to analyze historical performance and stress scenarios
Experience monitoring limit usage and investigating breaches
Skills in developing and implementing risk monitoring tools and automation
Ability to support ad hoc analysis of trading opportunities and risk trade-offs
Experience contributing to cross-functional projects spanning finance, operations, and technology teams
