Responsibilities
Administer assigned client relationships and various types of accounts
Serve as secondary point of contact for clients
Assist in the interpretation of trust instruments
Oversee trust funding and asset movements
Review and process distribution requests
Prepare discretionary distribution documentation
Ensure income vs. principal accuracy
Maintain and organize all records and trust files to ensure proper record-keeping in order to comply with all trust documents and regulations
Manage conflict resolution and sensitive family dynamics
Assist with audits and identification of fiduciary risks
Support process improvements
Monitor deadlines and compliance obligations
Directly report to and collaborate with VP, Senior Wealth Strategists and Relationship Officers on trust and estate matters
Support Relationship Manager on new business generation
Adhere to all relevant regulations, including USA Patriot Act and Anti-Money Laundering Program
Identify and resolve issues by comparing account information to system reports
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in trust & estate
Understanding of trust accounting and how to administer sophisticated trusts
High level understanding of estate planning
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and trust accounting software
Ability to maintain a positive and professional work environment
Maintain strict confidentiality as well as digital/physical security
Demonstrate the ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve/escalate problems
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision when needed and able to manage multiple tasks
Must be open to performance improvement and coaching
Open to occasional travel when necessary
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
