Responsibilities

Deeply understand Costco’s strategies and executional imperatives. With business segment sales leadership; Engage customer to align on annual customer business plan and performance metrics
Achieve agreed Costco sales by securing and developing meaningful volume and long-term supply agreements
Develop and implement pricing strategy with Costco in order to optimize volume and revenue while maximizing the operating profit
Collaboration with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Marketing, QA, and R&D) to optimize profitability and reduce disruptions due to swings in demand or other business fluctuations
Supply related forecasting of demand, the development of long-term supply agreements and the achievement of strategic objectives associated with securing incremental distribution as a foundation for growth
Lead the relationship with Costco’s
Activating Del Real power shelf to develop and implement solutions that profitably meet Costco’s category sales objectives for dollars, volume, and profit
Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
Work with Costco Buyers to create and execute Costco Annual Business Plans
Maintain corporate mandated profit contribution levels through effective management of assigned spending budgets
Effectively utilize syndicated data to identify opportunities and provide management with post analysis results
Interface with Marketing and Sales Management to identify opportunities and develop regional initiatives
Effectively incorporate insights obtained from the broker team to identify and realize opportunities
Must manage trade spending budget and deliver financial sales responsibility driven by senior leadership team
Develop recommendations for promotional activities to effectively optimize sales growth within available spending guidelines, using available POS, syndicated and consumer insights data
Assumes responsibility for implementing special projects as requested by Leadership

Required

Possess exceptional knowledge and business relationships with senior level executives at Costco
Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to adjust style to effectively interact with external customers and internal staff
Possess strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and technical skills
Must be proficient in IRI Data
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point as well as Internet research
Must be assertive, highly self-motivated and enjoy being a member of a fast paced environment
Position requires travel depending on the needs of the marketplace and the specified customer targets
Excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills
Traveling required is up to 50%
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or demonstrate commensurate experience in a similar role
Minimum 10 years Costco sales experience
