Responsibilities
Reports directly to the CEO
Serves as a key strategic partner to the executive leadership team
Engages regularly on company-wide priorities, growth strategy, and operational performance
Helps prepare the organization for its next stage of scale, complexity, and maturity
Long-range financial planning and scenario modeling
Margin optimization, utilization strategy, and delivery economics
Cash flow management and growth investment planning
Services delivery operations, staffing models, and capacity planning
Internal process modernization without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy
Alignment between sales, delivery, finance, and leadership
Oversight of internal systems and tools supporting finance, operations, and delivery
Ensuring data visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational intelligence
Financial planning & analysis (FP&A), forecasting, and performance reporting
Operational strategy across service delivery, resourcing, and utilization
Oversight of accounting, treasury, and financial controls
Strategic input on growth initiatives, partnerships, and potential acquisitions
Leadership of centralized finance and operations teams, building scalable processes and capabilities
Establish forward-looking models to inform executive decision-making
Provide insight into performance trends, margin drivers, and growth tradeoffs
Translate company strategy into executable, cross-functional operating plans
Identify areas for operational improvement and lead implementation
Ensure internal systems support efficiency, reporting, and scalable growth
Oversee cash management, forecasting, banking relationships, and financial risk
Ensure accuracy, transparency, and clarity in financial reporting and analysis
Build trusted, collaborative relationships with executive peers
Act as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team
Lead with low ego, high accountability, and operational credibility
Inspire and develop teams through clarity, structure, and shared ownership
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience
Background in higher education (institutional, consulting, or services supporting colleges and universities)
Experience in software services or professional services organizations
Proven experience helping run or scale a $25M+ company
Full P&L ownership and deep understanding of services economics
Strong operational acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level initiatives across teams and functions
Collaborative, team-oriented leader with strong executive presence
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Experience with enterprise system environments
Exposure to services delivery models, utilization-based teams, and margin optimization
MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced business education preferred
