Electrical Engineer (onsite)
Johnson Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Sustaining Engineering group for their Fire Detection product team. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware to ensure long-term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve hardware issues in existing products
Collaborate with global engineering, customer support, and compliance teams
Implement design improvements and cost optimizations
Support product lifecycle activities, including component obsolescence and redesigns
Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years experience in embedded hardware design and troubleshooting
Proficiency with debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
Preferred
Experience with low-power analog circuit design
Knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC converters
Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems
