They are seeking an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations and oversee job costing, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Own day-to-day accounting operations for the company
Oversee and maintain detailed job costing to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses and profitability
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
Review and process journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll journals
Maintain general ledger accuracy in compliance with GAAP
Support the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting
Manage vendor bills, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers
Prepare and send customer invoices
Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection
Handle check runs, credit card expense processing, and AP/AR reconciliations
Process payroll internally or coordinate with an outside payroll provider
File all required payroll taxes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain accurate payroll records and support reporting for management review
Qualification
Required
5-10+ years of accounting experience within the commercial construction industry, ideally with a subcontractor
Strong job costing mindset and ability to support operations with financial visibility
Comfort processing AP invoices and raising client bills
