Product Manager/Engineer - Automotive Lighting
Horizon Brands is a company that focuses on creating innovative automotive accessories and consumer products. They are seeking a Product Manager with expertise in automotive aftermarket accessories, specifically in automotive lighting solutions, to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle and ensure product compatibility and performance.

Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap for automotive lighting and related accessories
Identify new product opportunities based on vehicle parc data, application coverage gaps, market trends, and customer insights
Define product vision, success metrics, and long-term category strategy
Create and maintain fitment application guides
Act as the subject-matter expert for vehicle fitment, bulb applications, and compatibility across platforms and model years
Define and validate application coverage, interchangeability, and performance requirements
Partner with quality, and suppliers to ensure products meet fitment, performance, and durability standards
Ensure accuracy of application data used for catalogs, packaging, and digital fitment tools
Lead product development from concept through commercialization
Own product requirements documents (PRDs), technical specifications, and validation criteria
Balance technical feasibility, cost, compliance, and customer needs in product decisions
Manage development timelines, risks, and trade-offs
Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to support positioning, launches, and technical storytelling
Partner with Sales on line reviews, customer questions, and technical escalations related to fitment and applications
Own product performance post-launch, including application expansions, line extensions, refreshes, and rationalization
Analyze sales, returns, warranty data, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
Make data-driven recommendations on pricing, assortment, and investment priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
4+ years of relevant work experience in product management within automotive aftermarket or vehicle-dependent consumer products, and ideally direct experience with automotive lighting or light bulb products
Hands-on experience with vehicle fitment, application data, and catalog accuracy
Strong working knowledge of automotive lighting technologies, bulb types and regulatory standards
Thrive in an innovative work environment where status quo is not an option
Proven experience working in reporting software to analyze metrics and support ROI (Advanced Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI)
Experience working with overseas manufacturers and cross-functional global teams
