Director of Finance | Nonprofit | Onsite
Turn2Partners is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify a Director of Finance as part of a planned leadership transition. The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations, ensures compliance with funding requirements, and supports executive leadership with accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Manage the annual external audit
Ensure compliance with grant, fund, and government funding requirements
Prepare Sales & Use Tax filings and annual 1099s
Present financial updates during executive and board meetings
Monitor program funding, cost allocations, and financial controls
Maintain and enhance financial reporting and Excel-based tracking tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required (Accounting preferred; Finance acceptable)
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; nonprofit or education background ideal
Experience with audits, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting
Advanced Excel proficiency required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Alignment with a mission-focused organization and comfort working in an environment that supports adults with disabilities
Preferred
CPA preferred
Exposure to fund accounting, grants, or government funding strongly preferred
