Associate, Asset Management & Investments - Corporate
Palette Hotels is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate to join their team. This key role will oversee the performance of corporately owned hotels and participate in new investment analysis, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer.

Responsibilities
Work with CIO to develop and execute strategic asset management plans for the existing hotel to maximize asset value, drive operational efficiency, and optimize returns
Conduct regular, in-depth reviews of property-level operating performance, including revenue management, cost control, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, working closely with hotel management teams and third-party operators
Oversee the annual budgeting process, review monthly financial reporting packages, and monitor compliance with investment objectives, lender reporting and performance hurdles
Assist CIO to create regular investor reports, providing a comprehensive update on the investment
Identify, analyze, and implement opportunities for value creation, such as property renovations, operational restructuring, or repositioning strategies
Support the CIO in developing and executing disposition strategies, including market timing and preparing assets for sale
Assist CIO in underwriting potential hotel acquisitions, including financial modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment
Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums, presentations, and supporting analyses for the Investment Committee and other stakeholders
Assist CIO in the due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions, working with internal teams (legal, finance) and external advisors (brokers, consultants)
Prepare and present detailed, insightful performance and investment reports to the CIO on a regular basis
Associate will assist CIO and CEO on business development
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel real estate investment, asset management, investment banking, or private equity, with a significant focus on the hospitality sector
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field is preferred
Expert proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparable sales, replacement cost), and advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of hotel operations, management agreements, franchise contracts, and capital markets
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial and strategic issues to senior leadership and external partners
