Technical Support Manager – System Operations Control

Responsibilities

Participates in the Company’s SMS in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the SMS Manual
Completes Initial Level 2 SMS Training and maintain currency as outlined in the SMS Manual, Chapter 4
Responsible for taking an active role in promoting a positive attitude toward safety and compliance within National Airlines
Serves as the subject matter expert on all information systems utilized in the SOC
Responsible for the development of information systems required for continuous improvement of Company performance
Responsible for consistently monitoring and auditing existing applications and platforms to provide recommendations on system improvements utilized by the System Operations Control center including but not limited to: NAVBLUE-NFP, AIMS, WSI Fusion, Airline Choice, AeroData
Coordinates directly with SOC department heads to optimize software application usage, providing recommendations on available automation and process changes to increase efficiency
Coordinates with the National Airlines IT department for ongoing updates, projects, integrations and software maintenance for impacting SOC software systems
Coordinates with the National Airlines IT department to ensure the SOC is supplied with adequate equipment and IT equipment is maintained for operational needs
Holds the responsibility and authority to coordinate directly with software vendors applicable to SOC operations regarding changes to software tools, data platforms, and contractual obligations under the guidance and approval of the Director of SOC
Serves as the primary point of contact for SOC personnel when troubleshooting SOC specific IT system irregularities
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining IT readiness for potential SOC evacuations/relocations
Maintains a clear understanding and working knowledge of all regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, National Airlines approved/accepted, as applicable, manuals, the OpSpecs, 14 CFR, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, SAFOs and InFos, and manufacturer recommendations
Other duties as assigned by the Director of SOC

Required

Bachelor's degree in aviation related studies, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, or in a related field; equivalent operational experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in an aviation related operational, technical support, or systems support role
Close familiarity with Airline Operations Center functions, systems and workflows
Working knowledge of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure used to support operational workflows
Ability to troubleshoot application, system, and basic network-related issues and coordinate resolution with IT teams as needed
Strong understanding of operational workflows, technical systems, and procedures within a regulated environment
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze operational data, and provide timely, effective solutions
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to operational and non-technical stakeholders
Willingness to support operations on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, or on-call rotations as required
