Personal Injury Legal Assistant

The Personal Injury Legal Assistant will support personal injury attorneys and clients with their pre-litigation personal injury cases, managing claims and facilitating communication throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Manage caseload of personal injury claims in the pre-litigation phase
Track and manage case progress using legal case management software (e.g. Litify)
Knowledgeable in North Carolina insurance and accident laws
Collect and review medical records, bills, police reports, and other relevant documents
Prepare case files and documentation for transition to litigation
Assist attorneys with settlement negotiations
Draft demand letters, correspondence, and settlement documents
Function as a point of contact, maintaining professional communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers throughout the case process
Supports attorneys in case development, facilitating timely organization, documentation, and advancement of cases through the preparation process
Partner with team members to align case strategies, share insights, and ensure consistent, client-centered results
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience working with personal injury cases
Manage caseload of personal injury claims in the pre-litigation phase
Track and manage case progress using legal case management software (e.g. Litify)
Knowledgeable in North Carolina insurance and accident laws
Collect and review medical records, bills, police reports, and other relevant documents
Prepare case files and documentation for transition to litigation

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Litify
Legal Assistant / Paralegal certification or Associates/Bachelor's degree in legal studies or equivalent experience
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
