Responsibilities
Responsible for overall health & safety in conjunction with the Corporate Safety program for the location
Effective implementation and application of Gerdau Business Systems
Responsible for Employee Relations and personnel policy at the location
Responsible for achieving operational goals
Responsible for maintaining customer relationships
Direct responsibility for the transfer cost of internal scrap
Overall responsibility of the locations costs including spending and budget development
Responsible for continuous improvement and long term planning
Ensures environmental compliance and conformance within Corporate policy and procedures
Qualification
Required
Possess a broad knowledge of the metals recycling industry
Be familiar with health and safety management, accounting, industrial relations, and management procedures and techniques
5 to 7 years related work experience including significant exposure to scrap processing
Supervisory experience
Possess a post-secondary education in Business Administration or related area
