Iron County is seeking an IT Technician to perform a variety of technical duties related to maintaining data, operations, and maintenance of computer and related systems. The role involves working under the guidance of the I.T. Director and Manager, ensuring effective computer operations and addressing emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of technical duties related to maintaining data, operations and maintenance of the Iron County computer and related systems
Works under the general guidance and direction of the Iron County I.T. Director and the I.T. Manager

Required

An associate degree (minimum) in Computer Science or related field
At least two (2) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License
Compliance with Iron County's vehicle/driving policy
Must pass a criminal background check and be able to obtain NCIC criminal background clearance
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance with Iron County drug and alcohol policies and guidelines
Knowledge of advanced Information Technology principles and technologies
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet browsers, computers and word processing
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
Knowledge of personal computer software and hardware configurations/capabilities
Skill in providing excellent customer service
Skill in interpersonal communication
Skill in managing stress and meeting deadlines
Skill in exercising initiative, independent judgment and resourcefulness in varying conditions
Ability to analyze a variety of personal computer issues and problems
Ability to follow directions given both verbally and in writing
Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities
Ability to learn and recommend new and improved procedures
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in work assignments
