Wire EDM & Tooling Technician
Re:Build Manufacturing is a growing ecosystem of industrial and engineering businesses, and they are seeking a Wire EDM & Tooling Technician to join their team at Cutting Dynamics in Avon, Ohio. The role involves setting up and operating Wire EDM equipment for production parts, verifying dimensions with metrology tools, and assisting with CNC milling tasks while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate Wire EDM equipment for production parts and tooling builds
Use metrology tools correctly to verify features and dimensions
Interpret customer blueprints; hold tolerances in line with AS9100 requirements
Operate production equipment and hand tools safely, accurately, and efficiently
Complete Bridgeport milling tasks; set up and run WEDM machines
Prepare stock for CNC milling; assist with first-part qualifications on 3 & 5-axis routers
Run short production lots, troubleshoot, and maintain efficient workflow
Keep the work area clean; follow all safety procedures
Support Lean improvements and help wherever production needs arise
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or equivalent STEM experience preferred
Hands-on experience with Wire EDM; familiarity with Bridgeport mills preferred
Basic computer skills; exposure to CAM software is a plus
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and hit production deadlines
Language skills: able to read, write, and understand English
Preferred
Associate's degree or equivalent STEM experience
Familiarity with Bridgeport mills
Exposure to CAM software
