Responsibilities
Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify data requirements
Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models using Dimensional and Data Vault methodologies
Translate business requirements into scalable, well-structured database designs
Design and implement database tables and structures optimized for analytics and downstream consumption
Perform database analysis to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
Develop, optimize, and validate SQL queries to support reporting and data quality checks
Collaborate with ETL and data engineering teams to enable reliable data integration across cloud platforms
Support BAU data initiatives in a fast-paced, regulated banking environment
Partner with BI and analytics teams to ensure data models effectively support Power BI and/or Tableau reporting
Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture standards, financial domain best practices, and future integration initiatives (e.g., data hubs or nexus environments)
Qualification
Required
Must be local to Raleigh, NC and willing to work onsite at the North Hills location
Strong experience in finance or banking environments
Proven expertise in Dimensional Data Modeling
Solid background in relational database design and database analysis
Advanced SQL skills
Experience working with ETL processes and cloud-based data platforms
Experience supporting BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
Preferred
Hands-on experience with Data Vault modeling
Experience with Oracle databases
Familiarity with enterprise data hubs or nexus-style architectures
Experience with dbt (data build tool)
