Finance Director - Pharmaceutical Production Equipment

Responsibilities
In close partnership with commercial, operations and R&D leadership, drive financial performance with a focus on the business' Value Drivers through financial insights, analysis, and by providing financial leadership with business partners across the organization
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, specifically analyzing costs related to production, new products (NPIs), and capital investments
Monitor production costs, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and maximize profitability
Prepare financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), ensure compliance with regulations, and liaise with auditors and external bodies
Prepare monthly sales commissions for payroll processing
Provide financial guidance for strategic decisions, including market analysis, risk assessment, and evaluating make-vs-buy opportunities
Work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and project teams to provide financial insights and support operational excellence
Manage cash flow, monitor financial details, and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks
Manage and mentor Financial Manager and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
15+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting
Strong Experience In a Manufacturing Environment Required
Hands-on experience with cost accounting and operational finance
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle)
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence non-finance stakeholders
Strong communication and presentation skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proactive, problem-solving mindset
Experience supporting multiple plants or complex manufacturing operations
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Ability to interact with other members of the organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred
Advanced degree or equivalent preferred
Experience with Percentage of Completion accounting highly preferred
