Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive and accurate wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and schematics for electrical and electronic systems based on product requirements
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure wiring diagrams align with product specifications and integrate seamlessly into system designs
Ensure that wiring diagrams meet regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC), and safety guidelines
Update and maintain existing wiring diagrams and technical documentation for current and legacy products
Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues, including identifying wiring faults or design flaws and offering solutions to ensure system integrity
Implement version control procedures for wiring diagrams, ensuring that all revisions are documented and easily traceable
Perform quality checks to verify that all wiring diagrams are accurate and that the wiring aligns with physical installations
Offer technical guidance and support to production teams, field technicians, and maintenance personnel regarding wiring diagrams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
A Secret clearance is the minimum requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you will be required to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Proficient in industry-standard wiring diagram software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Visio, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, etc.)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and wiring practices
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., UL, NEC, IEC)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and identify potential issues from wiring diagrams
Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with MAVLink protocol & sensor communication standards (UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, etc.) & sensors such as GPS, IMU, barometers, LiDAR, and imaging cameras
Proficiency with most remotely controlled subsystems found in COTS remotely piloted vehicles

Preferred

Understanding of UAV systems, including GPS/IMU fusion, flight dynamics, and autonomous navigation
Assist in UAV assembly, preflight inspections, and post-mission diagnostics
Knowledge of flight controllers (e.g., Pixhawk Cube & SpeedyBee F405) & Flight Controller programming (ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, QGroundControl)
