They are seeking an Electromechanical Systems Application Engineer who will be responsible for system design, component selection, and application software development for electric drives and related systems.

Responsibilities
Electromechanical system design and component selection
Size electric motors for propel, hydraulic pump, steering, and other electromechanical functions
Size and select mobile inverters and develop application software utilizing vendor software
System design, hardware selection and software application development. Utilizing either a windows based graphical platform, vendor specific platforms, C /C++ variations
Electrical schematic development in AutoCAD
Provide detailed responses to customer inquiries pertaining to electrical or electronic control components or systems. Typically, by email or telephone, but also through face-to-face meetings
Work with a team of applications engineers to support customers, field sales, internal customer service, and internal technicians
Work closely with other members of the application engineering team to review and share product knowledge
Regular communication with field sales team members to develop customer specific hydraulic and or electronic control system solutions
Travel to customer’s location for system start up, troubleshooting, and training
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical or Electrical Technology
Preferred
Comfortable with multitasking and working in a team setting
CAN protocols ( CAN OPEN, J1939 )
System FMEA analysis
Hands-on technical aptitude
DC electrical symbols and control methods
Electric Motor types and control methods
Battery technology ( Lead Acid, AGM, Lithium )
DC control wiring methods and skills
Closed loop feedback systems ( PI / PID control theory )
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
Programming experience ( C, C++, PLC, JAVA, XML, HTML )
AutoCAD / Inventor or other 2D and 3D platforms
