Responsibilities

Review and optimize supplier relationships based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and other relevant factors
Approve purchases ensuring the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts
Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
Provide guidance to staff on resolving problems related to undelivered goods
Lead negotiations, renegotiations, and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and representatives
Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine need for changes
Align with suppliers on new data-center designs and finalize design requirements
Establish pricing structures to enable purchase order awards for upcoming builds

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field required
Procurement category management expertise
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals, and technical data
Proficiency with standard business software applications
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing
Understanding of supply chain management principles
Ability to accurately document and record information
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
