Responsibilities
Organizes documents received from Client Relationship Team (“CRT”)
Prepares and processes individual income tax returns
Completes workpapers using software SurePrep and/or Adobe and/or Excel
Performs appropriate referencing and documentation in software or on workpapers
Completes all return processing in GoSystems or other forms preparation software
Interacts with internal team to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks
Communicates significant issues to Tax Lead or Management
Meets internal deadlines to match the internal client expectations for timely delivery of service, and ensures data is collected and processed in a timely manner to comply with deadlines and filing requirements
Maintains client data accurately and effectively
Uses firm document storage processes, procedures and tools to manage data
Complies with all firm policies, standards and BSC client procedures
Complies with Tax Quality Manual
Assists Specialists levels II and III with day-to-day questions and issues, as needed
Assists Tax Leads with review of basic returns and workpapers
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent, required
Four (4) or more years of general accounting, tax experience, or equivalent experience earned working in public accounting or consulting, required
One (1) or more years of experience preparing individual tax returns, required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Adobe, required
Preferred
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferred
Proficient in the use of tax applications and research such as OneSource, SurePrep, GoSystems, GoFileRoom and DataFlow, preferred
