Responsibilities
Manage the annual service budget
Track daily progress and evaluate monthly goals
Partner with leadership to develop plans for departmental growth
Hire, train, and develop service personnel
Collaborate with recruiting partners
Lead weekly meetings to drive efficiency and alignment
Create and manage a priority-based service schedule
Assign work based on technician strengths and workloads
Review and validate work orders before billing
Analyze performance data to improve operations
Direct trailer repair, maintenance, welding, and electrical service
Partner with manufacturers for warranty support
Maintain a robust safety structure in line with company standards
Visit customers to assess service needs and ensure satisfaction
Ensure availability and maintenance of shop tools and service equipment
Manage service schedules and maintenance plans for company vehicles and equipment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 4 years of experience as a service manager
Proven ability to grow a service department
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficient in reading and creating reports, invoices, and office documents
Comfortable using computer systems
Must be able to read and write in English
Preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
