Safety Specialist
Metric DCX is seeking a professional with experience in occupational health and safety, particularly in the construction industry. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring safety compliance, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among personnel.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations and job safety analyses
Maintain and manage safety documentation, training records, incident reports, and compliance reporting
Assist in developing, implementing, and improving project-specific safety programs, policies, and procedures
Provide safety training, guidance, and incident investigation support to contractors, employees, and project teams
Act as a liaison for safety compliance with clients, contractors, government agencies, and third-party reviewers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction health and safety
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and safety management systems
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
Preferred certifications include CSP, CHST, or other industry-recognized safety credentials
