Responsibilities
Manage partnership tax function including compliance, research, and documentation
Interface with investment partners and serve as a subject matter expert and a point of contact for all partnership tax-related questions
Coordinate with external consultants for compliance and research related to partnership tax
Correspond with tax jurisdictions
Assist in the research, analysis, and documentation of various tax matters
Assist with other tax department tasks and support tax financial statement reporting, as necessary
Train and supervise tax seniors, tax associates, and tax clerks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
4-5 plus years of experience ideally with prior or current public accounting experience
Experience managing staff
Related industry experience within real estate or energy sector, renewable energy experience preferred
CPA certification (or actively pursuing)
Knowledge of partnership taxation
Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX office on hybrid basis, 2-3 days per week
Preferred
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
