Senior Specialist – Internal Communications

Responsibilities
Develop and implement internal communications strategies that elevate awareness and engagement around regional Safety and Sustainability initiatives
Partner with Safety and Sustainability teams to ensure timely, consistent messaging and visibility of key programs, milestones, and impact stories
Support the rollout of global campaigns and ensure regional relevance and resonance
Serve as a communications bridge between the Americas region and HO, ensuring alignment with global messaging, priorities, and brand standards
Facilitate the sharing of best practices, assets, and success stories across Business Units to foster a unified internal communications approach
Support enterprise-wide initiatives such as EVP, Global Safety Day, transformation, and leadership communications
Provide strategic communications planning and execution for M&A activities, including employee engagement, change management, and integration efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear, transparent, and timely communication throughout the M&A lifecycle
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications efforts, using data to inform improvements and enhance employee engagement
Stay informed of industry trends and innovations to continuously evolve communications strategies and tools
Ensure communications are aligned with project goals and contribute to successful outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years in corporate communications, with a strong focus on employee engagement and change management
Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual proficiency (Spanish, Portuguese, or French preferred) to support regional communications across the Americas
Comfortable working in a matrixed and dynamic environment with cross-functional teams
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Experience coordinating events and managing content across digital communication platforms
High attention to detail, organizational ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Experience supporting internal communications in a global or multinational organization
Demonstrated success in communicating complex topics in a clear and engaging way
Experience supporting communications for mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational change
Familiarity with digital communication tools such as Viva Engage, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and internal social platforms
