Stewardship Intern
Lake George Land Conservancy is an accredited nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting the water quality of Lake George and its watershed. The Stewardship Intern will support the Stewardship Program by coordinating and implementing projects related to land management and conservation efforts, while also assisting with public outreach events.

Responsibilities
Work with staff to coordinate and implement land stewardship projects
Assist in the development of land management plans for specific properties
Assist with volunteer events and workdays at our preserves
Help facilitate outreach programs including the Hike-A-Thon and Living Lands Series
Contribute content for social media posts (including original photos/videos) highlighting the LGLC’s work
Qualification
Required
Coursework in environmental science, environmental studies, natural resource management, or related fields
Comfortable performing physical work in an outdoor setting
Demonstrated interest in land conservation and in the LGLC's mission
Interest in conservation of natural resources
Knowledge of ecology, watersheds, and invasive species
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Must have a personal vehicle and valid driver's license

The intern will be included in LGLC staff meetings, spend time with all staff, and learn how a professional, accredited land trust applies conservation and land protection tools to meet community needs.
