The role involves configuring, installing, monitoring, and maintaining end-user desktop hardware and software, as well as providing Tier 2 technical support and consultation to IT users.

Responsibilities
Configure, install, monitor, and maintain end-user desktop hardware and software
Support a mobile workforce and provide consultation to IT users on all aspects of end-user computing
Provide Tier 2 technical support and coordinate with vendors to resolve Tier 3 issues
Document problem resolutions and develop end-user guidelines
Deliver on-site user training as needed
Evaluate, maintain, modify (e.g., macros, templates), and document desktop application packages
Participate in testing, evaluating, and implementing new desktop software packages and prototypes
Advise IT users on hardware and software selection to meet business requirements
Support hardware and software planning, vendor selection, acquisition, and system integration
Organize and coordinate installation, deployment, and upgrades of desktop hardware, software, and related network components
Support desktop applications including productivity tools, email, and group-use applications without programming customization
Identify and implement methods to improve end-user desktop productivity
Develop and apply troubleshooting and service restoration procedures for computer systems and peripheral equipment
Qualification
Required
Professional with applicable knowledge and hands-on experience
Works effectively and actively contributes within a team environment
Performs defined tasks and responsibilities and understands technical discussions at the task level
