Responsibilities

Oversees - guides - manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization
Plans and coordinates fiscal - acquisition - clinical and administrative operations
Establishes - monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain
Conducts logistics audits - compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews
Manages all activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing - procurement and logistics management activities
Responsible for linking major business functions and processes within the organization into a cohesive and high-performing business model
Plans - forecasts and executes the budget for healthcare resources and services - supplies - subsistence - durable medical equipment - medical gases - expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment - inventory management - warehouse operations - transportation and distribution
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service
Experience must have equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist
Specialized experience includes serving as a supply chain management leader/supervisor responsible for ensuring the logistical requirements of an organization are met
Planning/coordinating and evaluating various operations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of a logistics program
Areas of knowledge and skill should include acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operations
Experience assisting with budget formulation and forecasting of expenditures
Experience in overseeing and managing staff from a variety of occupations and subordinate supervisors
You will be rated on the following Competencies: Acquisition Strategy, Administration and Management, Financial Management, Leadership, Manages Human Resources, Planning and Evaluating, Problem Solving, Technical Competence
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week
All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates
Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience
The work is primarily sedentary; however, the position is required to participate on environment of care rounds, internal and external quality reviews and external auditor site visits
These reviews include a review of work areas including warehouse, supply areas that require personal protective equipment
This may require long periods of standing, walking and/or maneuvering around moving or otherwise hazardous equipment
