Responsibilities
Assist in the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
Support VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including basic VM provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Perform routine system health checks, patching, and updates
Monitor system performance, disk usage, and availability using standard monitoring tools
Assist with user account management, group policies, and Active Directory tasks
Help troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-related issues
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Respond to service desk tickets and participate in on-call rotations as required
Follow IT security policies and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
Familiarity with VMware vSphere or other virtualization platforms
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience with PowerShell scripting (basic level)
Microsoft 365 and/or Azure fundamentals (AZ-900)
Backup solutions (Veritas, Cohesity or similar)
Patch management tools (Bigfix, or similar)
Microsoft Certified Windows Server / Azure Fundamentals, VMware, VCTA or VCP
