Responsibilities
Provide advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development and technical analysis of various systems to suit individual client needs
Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
Directing junior engineers and leading the day-to-day activity of a small team working on the project
Mentoring junior staff members and providing technical review of their work as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
Professional Engineer License (PE) required
Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
Proficiency with MS Office software required
Preferred
Plumbing experience is a plus
Experience using Design Builder or similar load modeling software preferred
Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
