Responsibilities
Review and analyze NDAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, and standard commercial templates
Identify risk, deviations, and non-standard language —and escalate fast
Drive contracts through internal approval workflows (no babysitting required)
Maintain clean, auditable documentation inside a CLM platform
Track metrics: volume, turnaround time, service levels
Act as the first line of escalation for paralegals on contract issues
Qualification
Required
A J.D. + active U.S. bar membership
1–5 years of real contract experience (post-bar)
In-house, corporate, or commercial exposure (law firm only? Might be a stretch)
Comfort working in CLM tools (Salesforce, Coupa, or similar)
Sharp communication and zero tolerance for sloppy work
Preferred
Managed or guided paralegals or junior attorneys
Worked inside a corporate legal department
Handled contract volume without melting down
