Responsibilities
Test websites for compliance with WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 and Section 508
Perform manual accessibility testing (not just automated scans)
Test: 1. Keyboard navigation 2. Screen reader behavior 3. Focus order and focus states 4. Color contrast and visual accessibility 5. Forms, tables, menus, modals, and dynamic content
Review templates and pages inside CMS platforms (Cascade, WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
Write clear, actionable accessibility reports
Verify fixes and prevent regressions
Support QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles
Work closely with designers and developers to explain issues and solutions
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years experience in accessibility testing or accessibility-focused QA
Real experience testing large, content-heavy websites
Understanding of modern web interfaces and CMS-based websites
Strong documentation and communication skills
Test websites for compliance with WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 and Section 508
Perform manual accessibility testing (not just automated scans)
Keyboard navigation
Screen reader behavior
Focus order and focus states
Color contrast and visual accessibility
Forms, tables, menus, modals, and dynamic content
Review templates and pages inside CMS platforms (Cascade, WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
Write clear, actionable accessibility reports

Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 / 2.2
Strong knowledge of Section 508
Strong knowledge of ARIA roles and attributes
Strong knowledge of Semantic HTML
Hands-on experience with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)
Hands-on experience with keyboard-only navigation testing
Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, etc.)
Ability to identify real usability barriers (not just checklist issues)
Ability to explain issues in developer-friendly language
Ability to prioritize issues by user impact and compliance risk
Preferred
Experience with university, government, or institutional websites
Experience with Cascade CMS or similar enterprise CMS platforms
IAAP or similar accessibility certification
Experience working in accessibility-regulated environments
