Responsibilities
Assist with and manage legal matters related specifically to bankruptcy filings and creditor rights
Manage case files related to collections and civil litigation to ensure all client objectives are met
Attend various court proceedings and hearings under applicable state and federal regulations and procedures
Conduct comprehensive legal research to support sound legal strategies and informed client recommendations
Analyze complex case law and statutes to identify favorable precedents for active litigation matters
Draft professional pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence required for court filings and case management
Prepare other case-related documents and evidence packets to support ongoing civil litigation efforts
Ensure strict compliance with federal debt collection laws, including the FDCPA and related regulations
Adhere to all state civil litigation rules and procedural requirements within the North Carolina court system
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and various court personnel
Maintain highly organized case files and manage critical legal deadlines to prevent any procedural lapses
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners across multiple jurisdictions to support a well-rounded legal environment
Qualification
Required
Must hold an active North Carolina law license
Demonstrate strong analytical abilities
Demonstrate strong communication abilities
Demonstrate strong organizational abilities
Open to recent law school graduates and attorneys with up to 3 years of experience
