Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple client files
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and sales reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Prepare, reconcile, and file Florida state sales tax returns
Reconcile taxable sales to filed state reports
Process and support payroll
Use Excel for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting
Work in Xero and other accounting platforms (QuickBooks a plus)
Support month-end and year-end close
Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
Communicate clearly with internal teams and escalate issues when needed
Meet multiple deadlines with accuracy under pressure
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (firm experience preferred)
Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping
Hands-on experience with Xero; QuickBooks a plus
Florida sales tax filing experience
Financial statement preparation experience
Payroll processing experience
Strong Excel skills
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive
Comfortable with technology, automation, AI tools, and ChatGPT
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
