The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a global sports and media organization with a mission to inspire and connect people through basketball. The Associate Video Coordinator is responsible for content management, quality control, and support for the NBA's digital assets.

Responsibilities

Quality control of video assets being distributed worldwide and being ingested into the archive

Playout or export sequences from edit system to tape, ingest or feed

Ingesting/loading content into NBAE's Digital Media Management (DMM) System

Support creation and distribution of VOD content to the NBA App

Troubleshoot issues associated with distributed videos across multiple platforms

Review metadata associated with video assets and update accordingly

Identify trends and themes across different types of video content

Qualification

File sharing knowledgeTranscoding software experienceVideo editing experienceMetadata familiaritySports industry experienceBasketball knowledgeCollaboration skills

Required

Knowledge of file sharing and transferring (examples: Aspera Client, Signiant Media Shuttle, FTP)

Familiar with metadata fields and different taxonomy structures

Familiar with transcoding files into multiple editing formats

Experience with transcoding software-Telestream Vantage preferred

Work well in group settings and collaborate with others

Video editing experience

Experience uploading and transferring files to clients

Previous work experience in the sports industry a plus

Strong knowledge of basketball a plus, but not required

Bachelor's degree preferred
