Responsibilities
Support in evaluating the performance of our current supply base
Help to minimize disturbances in our supply chain by steering improvements
Assist in securing that suppliers are delivering according to Volvo’s specifications
Serve as an interface between our operation plants and suppliers during running production
Manage activities related to supplier relationships (meetings, documents, feedback, etc.)
Support Buyers in their day-to-day activities such as issuing RFQ’s, running reports, creating dashboards, etc
Participate in supplier and internal team meetings
Collaborate with stakeholders in order to obtain the best possible results for Volvo in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and features
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Your degree must be at an accredited school, and you need to have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
Must be either a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student at the start of your internship
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
Summer Interns may work up to 40 hours per week and must be enrolled as a student
Preferred
Organized and agile in your way of working, with a continuous improvement mindset
Team-player focused
Developed written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Experience with Power Bi and Power Automate is a plus
