Bookkeeper & Small Business Consultant

Launch Industries LLC is a Washington State social enterprise seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper and Small Business Financial Advisor to manage the financial health of clients. This role involves technical bookkeeping expertise and client education to support the company's mission of creating sustainable workplaces.

Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, payroll processing, and month-end closings
Prepare and analyze detailed financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
Provide ongoing education and support to clients, helping them understand financial reports and best practices for financial management
Ensure financial records comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying updated on legislation and advising management
Collaborate with tax preparers to assist clients with tax planning and preparation
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or other platforms to maintain accurate records
Assist clients with pro formas, profit and loss (P&L) statements, cash flow forecasting, and similar financial projections
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and offering personalized advice

Required

Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and accessibly
Client-focused approach and willingness to educate clients
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online
Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
Familiarity with finance law and regulatory standards, including GAAP
3-5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or finance management in a client services environment
Prior experience working with small or medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, or membership-based organizations
Exemplary history of financial project management
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for financial management and modeling
Strong interest in continuous learning and professional growth within the bookkeeping and financial advising field
Strong passion for fulfilling Launch Industries' mission

Preferred

Certifications such as QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor (Online and Advanced Online), Gusto Advisor, or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) are highly valued
