Closing Specialist I
CV3 Financial Services provides financing for non-owner-occupied investment properties and is seeking a Closing Specialist I to support the loan closing process. This role involves preparing and reviewing loan documents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review loan documents with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
Work within LendingWise and Lightning Docs platforms to input and verify necessary data for the timely generation of loan packages
Act as a primary point of contact during the closing process, liaising with escrow agents, title companies, loan officers, and underwriters to address and resolve issues promptly
Review and validate closing settlement statements to confirm all fees and costs are properly disclosed and accounted for
Ensure all conditions and documentation requirements, such as hazard insurance, flood certifications, title reports, sales contracts, and tax documents, are met prior to funding
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate a smooth closing process, addressing any discrepancies or missing information
Maintain high levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive borrower and loan information
Support the quality control process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of signed loan documents before funding
Gain expertise in funding procedures and assist in funding loans as needed
Continuously develop knowledge of the loan closing process and provide support to team members as necessary
This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials
Qualification
Required
High School or GED required; Associate's degree from an accredited college preferred; or a combination of education and experience
Working knowledge and use of MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook), PDF Pro, imaging system, and the internet
Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to move between tasks quickly and to respond to pressure situations easily
Possesses the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Shows strong initiative
Works productively in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment
Thinks ahead and anticipates needs based on prior experiences; makes an effort to act in advance either to prepare for a situation or to prevent it
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and possesses a team player attitude
Preferred
2-3 years of experience in mortgage closing or funding is preferred
Experience working with LendingWise and Lightning Docs a plus
Applicants in or able to work east coast time zone are highly preferred
