Responsibilities

Technical and administrative activities required to resolve complex delinquent farm loans that have been elevated to the State Office for resolution
Researching and analyzing pertinent statutory provisions of individual farm loan cases
Develop supporting legal documentation to ascertain and to protect the Government's credit position
Review, prioritize and track cases based on Statue of Limitations, depreciation of collateral, collectible and conversion of security
Knowledge of various State and Federal laws, i.e. inheritance laws, income tax laws, environmental, bankruptcy, etc. as they relate to the resolution of delinquent loans

Required

You must be a US Citizen or US National
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check
Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check

If education is required or being used to qualify, you must submit a copy of your transcripts
Specialized Experience Requirement for GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service
Specialized Experience Requirement for GS-11: One full-time year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or Private sector equivalent
Specialized Experience Requirement for GS-12: One full-time year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service or Private sector equivalent
Time-in-Grade Requirement: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level

Preferred

Education at the GS-09 grade level: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
Education at the GS-11 grade level: Three full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's, or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited college or university
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience as listed above, totaling at least 100% as outlined in OPM Qualifications policy
