Responsibilities
Lead Program Quality Engineers on Sustainment programs for Tactical Aircraft (TACAIR)
Ensure customer contract requirements are met
Oversee quality assurance and continuous process improvement
Document Sustainment Processes for Integrated Contractor Support and Customer Depots
Write Basis of Estimate and support proposals for future efforts
Provide functional leadership of the Program Quality Engineers for Sustainment and/or Non-recurring Engineering Programs
Work closely with the Customer, Program Management offices & Supplier Quality Teams along with other critical functions to provide world class program execution
Support corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree and 6-8 years work experience or 10-12+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Self-starting problem solver with a fact based focus on continuous improvement
Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team
Enjoys working with and coaching Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution success
Understanding the process for Basis of Estimate and proposals
Understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards
Sustainment Experience with supporting Life Cycle Support programs
Preferred
A Master's degree
Leadership or management experience with direct reports
Quality management experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, medical)
Six Sigma Green/Black belt certified
Experience interfacing with customers
Active Security Clearance
Understanding of relevant industry standards (AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145)
