Responsibilities
Confidently speaking with knowledgeable clients on the topic of FinOps, AI, workload migration planning and overall value management
Acting as trusted advisor to senior technology leaders on AI developments and automated modernization
Identifying and building solutions to drive growth in project-based and managed services
Developing modernization strategy for clients that include value frameworks, application estate planning, modernization and migration patterns with a focus of using AI and automation to drive accelerated client value
Developing and running FinOps approaches using both native and vendor products
Designing, architecting, implementing and supporting simple to complex enterprise solutions for a variety of business use cases and requirements. Guiding and mentoring clients through the entire process
Understanding common application development and deployment models including platform types (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
Creating repeatable solution factory models for both small and large environments
Eminence building in the industry through frequent publishing and speaking on relevant topics
Recruiting top talent through your network and eminence activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and 10+ years of related work experience
High proficiency with application development technologies
High proficiency with the tools and techniques for FinOps, AI Development and Automated modernization
Experience with private, public and hybrid cloud deployments
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels
Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must be a team player; able to work in virtual teams and independently
Willingness and ability to travel globally
Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to speak about technology in the language of business
Curiosity about business and technology; motivated with a desire to learn
Strong Knowledge of one of the following industries would be advantageous: Financial Services and Insurance, Consumer Products, Technology, Industrials
Preferred
Strong understanding of FinOps practices, toolsets and client needs for FinOps both with Cloud, but more generally across technology spend
Strong Value Management practice skills to link spend and programs to defined Financial outcomes, including Technology Business Cases, Multi Year ROI and investment modelling
Experience with migration tooling and execution methodologies (7Rs framework)
Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines, configuration management, observability and DevSecOps practices
Strong foundation with on-premises infrastructure, virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V), networking protocols, storage architectures and data center strategy and operations
Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity patterns. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM templates or CloudFormation
Strong foundation with the latest LLM Models, Code creation and management, artifact creation. Understanding of latest news and positions of various AI vendors, Experts and other commentators
Hands-on experience using one or more of CoPilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic and other related AI platforms
