AltaMed Health Services is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare and is seeking a Director of Licensing and Regulatory Approvals to lead their licensing team. The Director will manage the licensing process, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with various business teams to address licensing needs and operational impacts.

Responsibilities

Overseeing, managing, and obtaining all required licensing and regulatory approvals
Managing and overseeing the entire life cycle of the licensing function, including the preparation and submission of applications, communications with licensing officials, securing formal licensing, monitoring existing licensure, applying for renewals and modifications, and termination or transition of licensure
Collaborating with other business teams and individuals to determine any licensing needs and gather information required for such licensing applications
Advising and strategizing as to the impact licensing may have on operational needs (timing, conditions, requirements, etc.)
Overseeing and managing licensing completed by certain business teams with demonstrated competence, wishing to retain some control of certain aspects of their respective licensing functions
Working as a business partner with all other business teams

Qualification

Licensing experienceHealthcare environmentManagement experienceCDPH Primary Care LicenseBachelor’s Degree

Required

Bachelor's Degree or relevant certificate/training required
Minimum of five plus years of licensing experience in the healthcare environment required

Preferred

A minimum of ten plus years managing employees is highly preferred
Experience with CDPH Primary Care Clinic License strongly preferred
