Bankruptcy Paralegal
Thompson Law Group, P.C. is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our Cranberry Township team. This role is central to our mission of providing seamless, stress-free debt relief, managing a diverse caseload and serving as the primary liaison between attorneys, Bankruptcy Trustees, and clients.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review Chapter 7 and 13 petitions, schedules, and statements of financial affairs with meticulous attention to detail using Best Case software
Manage all electronic filings through CM/ECF for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Monitor dockets via PACER
Coordinate and prepare '341 Meeting' packets, ensuring all required documents (tax returns, pay stubs, domestic support obligation forms) are delivered to the Trustee timely
Conduct intake interviews, explain the bankruptcy process, and maintain consistent, empathetic communication with clients throughout their case
Draft and file Proofs of Claim, Reaffirmation Agreements, and responses to Motions for Relief from Stay
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Bankruptcy law (preferably in PA)
Deep familiarity with the local rules and procedures of the Western District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Court
Proficiency in Best Case, MyCase, and MS Excel is required
High organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple federal deadlines, and a professional, non-judgmental attitude toward clients in financial crisis
