Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of production GIS web applications using Esri technologies
Develop and maintain custom desktop GIS tools, automate workflows, and write database queries to support operational and analytical needs
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues in web and desktop GIS applications
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver technical solutions, and provide presentations
Author and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, workflow diagrams, help documents, and standard operating procedures
Mentor junior GIS developers and provide technical guidance to the team
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in GIS development, with a strong focus on web and desktop applications
Proficiency with Esri web development tools, including ArcGIS Developer resources, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS REST services, Esri Jimu library, and ArcGIS Experience Builder Developer Edition
Expertise in Python programming and ArcPy scripting
Solid experience with ArcGIS Pro, including geospatial analysis, editing, and cartographic design
Version control experience using Git
Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile SDLC, testing, DevOps workflows, and technical documentation
Experience with database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server, with intermediate-to-advanced SQL skills
Familiarity with Docker or containerization technologies
Web development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSX, TypeScript, React, responsive design, and browser developer tools
API development experience and integration with GIS services
