Responsibilities

Deploy and troubleshoot IT infrastructure and equipment for manufacturing capabilities
Focus on business partner needs and work with them to deliver optimal solutions at lowest possible cost
Maintain and support business and manufacturing systems as required to sustain appropriate functional capability and security posture
Work with business partners to identify improvement and cost reduction opportunities
Manage access requests and approvals with appropriate documentation and change control processes
Create and maintain documentation of plants systems and applications
Lead and support the IT portions of business and manufacturing projects
Maintain data systems and visual displays based on business requirements
Support production processes by helping to resolve technical issues with IT systems in a timely and efficient manner
Produce complete and accurate technical documentation
Delivery of agreed project objectives, on time and on budget
Document and ensure compliance with Corning's risk management policies and procedures
Works across the global IT organization to ensure alignment to global standard solutions and practices

Required

4+ years of IT support in a manufacturing and enterprise environment
Experience supporting Windows, MS Office 365, and PC hardware
Ability to handle changing priorities and to learn new systems quickly
Creative and innovative problem solving
Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
Must be a self-starter, collaborate and motivate others
Works well under pressure and effectively manages priorities
Physical Requirements: Standing and Walking: The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Physical Requirements: Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and transport on cart, items weighing up to 40 pounds
Physical Requirements: Bending and Stooping: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching are required to perform job tasks
Physical Requirements: Climbing: Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs may be necessary

Preferred

Strong troubleshooting and communications skills
Critical thinking, Cost conscious
Familiarity with SQL, Epicor ERP System and Adept applications a plus
Microsoft Azure and or other cloud platforms
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
Supporting an IT environment with strict compliance requirements
