Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee engagement strategies
Drive operational excellence by analyzing KPIs, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and labor standards
Oversee daily labor planning and sort operations, partnering with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and ensure resource alignment
Champion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to key protocols such as dock safety and lockout/tagout procedures
Build strong relationships with Contracted Service Providers (RSPs), managing contractual performance and facilitating clear, ongoing communication
Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor, ensuring operational readiness, materials availability, and continuous process efficiency
Qualification
Required
GED/Diploma required; college degree preferred
Four years of experience in logistics and/or transportation or can be less if a college degree
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing people, 1 of which is in a similar industry
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills
Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
