Logistics Coordinator

The Midtown Group is a stable, globally recognized maritime organization seeking a Vessel Inspection/Audit Coordinator to join their collaborative team. This role involves coordinating inspections and audits, maintaining documentation, and managing data related to safety and compliance inspections.

Responsibilities

Arrange inspections and audits between auditors and client companies globally
Monitor correspondence and ensure timely replies regarding scheduling, often dealing with urgent or dynamic situations
Prepare and distribute checklists, certificates (ISSC/SMC), and audit reports
Maintain computer records and databases regarding inspections and keep auditor information up to date
Assist in reviewing, approving, and preparing invoices for inspectors and auditors

Required

Some college education is required
Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general office equipment is essential
Adaptability: The maritime industry is 24/7 and dynamic. You must be able to think quickly and pivot when urgent situations arise
Team Player: This is a large, collaborative team. We are looking for personalities that mesh well with others and enjoy working in a group environment
Commitment: We invest significantly in training our staff and are looking for candidates who want to stay and grow with us for the long haul

Preferred

A college degree is preferred
Previous exposure to the maritime industry is a plus, but not required
