As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, you will define the team’s BI vision and strategy, leading the design and delivery of impactful BI solutions while collaborating with various business partners.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain complex visualizations to monitor and report business performance metrics
Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from diverse sources to identify trends and patterns
Implement data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with security and privacy regulations
Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, performance, and usability of existing dashboards and reports
Work on data pipelines, data models and leverage the AWS tech stack to build visualizations
Map security controls to systems to present this data to auditors both internal and external
Collect event logs from systems and devices to present the data on dashboards for key indicators on health
Collect group membership data from systems to present the data in dashboards for visibility into who has access to what services
Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders in leveraging dashboards and data insights to enhance decision-making processes related to security

Required

5+ years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
