Responsibilities
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and delivered on schedule
Perform advanced account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide insightful commentary to leadership
Identify efficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement best practices for remote collaboration
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and tax filings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience
Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and proficiency in mid-to-high-level accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online)
Preferred
CPA Designation is highly preferred
Prior experience in a healthcare rural health clinic (RHC), FQHC, or similar healthcare organizations (understanding of medical billing, insurance cycles, or regulatory compliance) is a significant advantage
Remote Proficiency and using digital collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
