They are seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician who will utilize hand and power tools to assemble both metal structures and delicate electronic assemblies, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency in their work.

Responsibilities

Use hand tools and power tools to assemble metal structures and delicate electronics assemblies
Develop methods for keeping inventory and work products in order
Perform mechanical assembly with hand and power tools including drilling, tapping, deburring, and sanding
Conduct cable assembly tasks such as stripping, crimping, testing, and strain relieving
Follow good ESD practices while assembling sensitive electronic components into a system
Utilize PC programs for word documents, spreadsheets, ordering from suppliers, email, and file organization
Solder for assembly and repair including wires, through-hole and surface mount components
Adapt to new responsibilities as the company grows and production increases
Design and implement new methods to increase efficiency in assembly and testing processes

Required

Experienced and comfortable using hand tools and power tools to assemble both robust metal structures and delicate electronics assemblies
Familiarity and experience with a broad range of tools and skills
Good organization — developing your own methods for keeping inventory and work products in order
Mechanical assembly with hand and power tools — drilling, tapping, deburring, filing, sanding
Cable assembly — stripping, crimping, testing, strain relieving
Good ESD practices — assembling sensitive electronic components together into a system
PC program usage — word documents, spreadsheets, ordering from suppliers, email, file organization
Soldering for assembly and repair — wires, through-hole and surface mount components

Preferred

Experience with FDM 3D printers (clearing build plates, starting new print jobs)
Quality control experience
Production assembly experience
Experience identifying opportunities for products or processes
Package packing/shipment experience
Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting
Maintaining a bill of materials
Using/designing mechanical fixtures and jigs
Setting quality and workmanship standards
