Responsibilities
This is a part time position consisting of 28 hours per week
Working with a team to clean residential buildings, laundry rooms, health club, and pool area as needed and directed by Facilities Manager
Cleaning to include, but not limited to: vacuuming, window and door washing, removing junk mail, dusting, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, etc
Maintaining trash dumpster area including loading trash and recycling, picking up loose trash, place the dumpsters on the sidewalk to get picked up by vendor daily, etc
Assist with snow removal including shoveling and/or operating snow removal equipment. Note that janitorial/maintenance staff must be available for snow removal, at all times, during the winter months unless an absence has been previously approved by his/her supervisor
Minor maintenance requests, ie, changing light bulbs, painting touch ups, in-unit work orders, filter changes
Assist maintenance department with projects including but not limited to landscaping and any maintenance tasks and projects required
Qualification
Required
Proven working experience as a Janitor
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
Integrity and ability to work independently
